The first prototype of adobe cottage is put into operation

The first prototype was built as part of the “Ecovillage for the Desert Climate” project. For now it is a tiny hut with a veranda on the rooftop of our Middle East office.
The temperature inside the house not differs a lot from what we have in a regular apartment on the floor below, but this is not surprising. The main advantage of adobe architecture is that there is no direct contact with the ground.
Now we can test the material under real operating conditions. So far, the impression from the natural material of the walls and natural textures is the most positive.
