The engineering firm Symbiosei has developed and continues to improve an autonomous weather station for integration into smart home automation systems. The product is built on open-source code and premium-grade measuring components.

Technical features:

  • Open Frame Airflow: The design eliminates thermal inertia and reduces the sensor response time to changes in CO2 levels, temperature, and humidity to a minimum. Delivery format - Easy-DIY Kit (pre-soldered board and case for final assembly with screws).
  • Dust protection: The technology has been developed and tested at Symbiosei's own site on the Red Sea coast in conditions of salty dust and high humidity. By shielding sensitive areas and optimizing internal airflow microstreams, dust settling on sensors is minimized, increasing the device's lifespan.
  • Premium sensors: Calibrated premium-class sensors ensure measurement accuracy and stable readings without significant time drift.
  • Built-in display: The graphical screen allows real-time reading of current microclimate parameters directly from the device.

Integration and software environment:

  • Direct connection: Integration into Home Assistant "out of the box" using ESPHome or MQTT protocols with automatic device detection.

Official project status and R&D accounting

The weather station is the result of original design and engineering developments by Symbiosei. The methods of passive protection of measuring elements and internal interface topology constitute the company's protected commercial know-how.

All costs for design, prototyping, and field trials at the sea site are officially accounted for as research and development (R&D) expenses. The company has included this project in the tax deduction program for technological development and has also submitted an application to obtain the status of a young innovative company in accordance with the established registration procedure.
